The webshop, which was originally managed directly by Spryker, was taken over by us with the aim of making the ordering process even easier for customers and improving the shopping experience.

The Challenge

The core problem was that B2B customers found it difficult to easily and efficiently order the products they needed. With alternative ordering methods such as email and phone already available, the challenge was to make the web store more attractive and easier to use. This meant making optimizations to increase conversion rates, providing more information about order and shipping status, and integrating more comprehensive product information from external product information management (PIM) systems into the store. The goal was to make the customer journey as simple as possible.

The Implementation

A multi-step process was initiated to achieve these goals. First, we focused on optimizing the ordering process by simplifying the customer journey. This included adjustments to the user interface of the web store, as well as improvements to the behind-the-scenes processes to make ordering seamless and fast.

We also improved the flow of information by providing more transparent and comprehensive order and shipping status information. As a result, customers now receive real-time updates on their orders.

By optimizing the PIM, more product information can now be integrated into the store. This eliminates the need to "jump" between different touch points and allows customers to find all the information they need on a single platform.

The Conclusion

The implementation of these measures has led to significant improvements in Wöhner's web store. Customers now have a simplified and improved shopping experience, which translates into a higher conversion rate. We have also been able to better connect touchpoints and increase the flow of information.

In addition, the enhanced information provided by the PIM provides significant value to customers, who now have access to more comprehensive and complete product information.

Although the internationalization of the business, especially the expansion into the USA, is still in the planning phase, we have already been able to create a stable and efficient system that is ready to support this important step.
