In the world of marketing, sophisticated strategy is often the key to success. Hours of meetings and numerous coordination sessions result in a carefully crafted marketing strategy. But what happens when implementation is lacking? Often, the necessary budget is not allocated for implementation, and with it, the hoped-for results. Unfortunately, this costly misunderstanding between strategy and execution is often the rule rather than the exception.
In this blog post, we'll look at the importance of strategy and execution in marketing and share valuable insights on how to successfully combine the two.

How is working at TOWA different compared to your previous employers?
The main difference is the team size. At TOWA we have 20-30 developers in the 3 Spryker development teams. We also work with different locations and remote colleagues. This works very well and contributes to the diversity of our projects.
What do you particularly like about your job?
That we manage everything ourselves at TOWA, from concept to realisation in the team. There are flat hierarchies, even down to the customer. We conceptualise projects together and create products that didn't exist before. This means that we can't copy anything from anywhere - we have to do it ourselves and can be pioneers.
Are there any special challenges as a Senior Software Engineer with us?
The biggest challenge is not so much the coding itself, but understanding the concept behind the digital products. It's about understanding where we and the customer want to go and ensuring that the result is neither too generic nor too complex. Both for us and for the user.
Do you feel that working at TOWA has helped you grow and develop?
Absolutely! At TOWA we have the freedom to take our time and learn new things. For example, the Meusburger project has brought me into contact with areas that I previously had no contact with. You learn an incredible amount in your day-to-day work and the dialogue within the teams is very valuable.
You spoke briefly about Project NOS earlier - can you tell us a bit more about it?
The aim of Project NOS is to create a family of tools that ensures quality in both front-end and back-end development. The self-developed NOS Decorators is the first tool that we also use directly in our customer projects and this has worked very well right from the start. In the long term, we would like to share these tools with the Spryker community and thus help to promote the development of high-quality code.
Now a question for anyone thinking of becoming part of TOWA. What advice would you give?
I would say the most important thing is to be proactive and define what you want to achieve within the organisation. At TOWA, it's not just about the day-to-day business, but also about how you can make your own contribution that goes beyond the norm. There is room for innovation and personal growth if you take the initiative.
