In 2024, the consulting firm TOWA has extended its continuous growth and made important strategic decisions. With revenue growth of 22 percentage points to €12.8 million in 2024 (2023: €10.5 million), the digital experts underline their strong market position and successful transformation from a traditional digital agency to a transformation partner.

From digital agency to transformation partner

Once founded as a digital agency, TOWA is increasingly positioning itself as a digital transformation partner in the strong B2B mid-market, offering its predominantly B2B customers synergies from consulting and implementation services. This orientation is based on the management's conviction that traditional agency services are increasingly being replaced by AI technologies and in-house capabilities. At TOWA, on the other hand, the focus is on developing strategic ideas and supporting transformation processes, while the pure implementation of classic agency services is increasingly taking a back seat. Instead, the focus is on implementing complex IT solutions and architectures.

Successful major projects and sustainable customer relationships strengthen the balance sheet

With this service portfolio, TOWA won 20 new customers last year. More than 90 percent of the new customers come from the B2B and industrial sectors, including the Swiss technology company PhoenixMecano, the international group Teufelberger and the German building materials manufacturer Saint-Gobain Weber. The existing customer portfolio was also further strengthened. Major projects such as the replatforming for existing customer Meusburger and the launch of the B2B hospitality platform for Sportfive were successfully completed, while the support of industrial companies such as ALPLA in the development and implementation of digital sales strategies also underlines TOWA's B2B expertise.

Investment in specialists and location expansion as growth drivers

The expansion of the team by 20 full-time experts to a total of 118 employees by the end of 2024 also marks an important step in TOWA's transformation from a generalist agency to a specialised B2B consultancy with deep IT expertise. This has enabled TOWA to build a 10-person consulting team with specialists from Accenture, Merkle, TietoEvry and Cremanski. Around 60 per cent of the team now works exclusively on IT topics such as e-commerce, CMS/DXP, CRM, data and AI.

The opening of a new office in Munich, currently with six employees, and the expansion of the Hamburg office, with 12 employees, are part of the strategic direction to be closer to key talent pools and key clients. The Hamburg location benefits from a large talent pool thanks to numerous agencies and service providers under the leadership of Karsten Krause-Ablass, while Munich was strategically chosen to take advantage of its proximity to key industries and SMEs in southern Germany, as well as software partners such as Salesforce and Celonis.
