We are TOWA: Karoline, Junior Digital Marketing Manager

Hey Karo, why don't you start by telling us who you are, what you do at TOWA and how you found out about TOWA?

Hi, sure, of course. I'm a Junior Digital Marketing Manager and have been part of the TOWA team for about a year and seven months. I came across TOWA through LinkedIn. I was looking for a marketing job in Vienna and TOWA was the first thing I saw.

The fast and efficient application process also convinced me. I originally started in business development, but later switched to operational marketing.

When did your passion for digital marketing begin and how did you get into it?

It was actually during my business studies. I was simply fascinated by marketing, especially the psychological aspects and the question of why people follow certain marketing messages.

Digital marketing came later, and it was here at TOWA that I discovered the possibilities and the power behind it. The mix of creativity and analytics is right up my street.

What does your typical working day at TOWA look like?

My working day is very varied and operational. It usually starts with going through emails and Slack messages over a cup of coffee.

This is often followed by meetings with clients, preparing documents and presentations, and working on campaigns and projects. An important part of my job is also to check all ongoing campaigns on a daily basis to make sure everything is running smoothly.

I also do a bit of community management for TOWA or clients in between.

What projects are you currently working on?

Oh, there's a lot! From technology-based campaigns for TOWA to strategies to increase newsletter sign-ups for one of our clients BoB.family.

I love working on different projects, it never gets boring!

Do you work more from home or in the office?

I'm definitely a big fan of working from home. I really appreciate the flexibility and the opportunity to work in my own environment.

But occasionally I also visit the office, especially for meetings or when I prefer to collaborate with my colleagues on site.

How does working at TOWA differ from your previous employers?

At TOWA, I particularly appreciate the larger team and the team spirit. Compared to my previous job in a start-up, there are simply more resources and a more diverse project situation here.

I also appreciate the opportunity to focus on what I enjoy most and where I can best contribute my strengths.

What do you particularly like about your job?

Without a doubt: the team!!

Here at TOWA, the team is much bigger and more diverse. There are experts for almost every topic and I love exchanging ideas every day.

You simply have more resources and everyone brings their own strengths to the table. I also appreciate the opportunity to work with different clients and projects, which gives me a broader perspective.

Are there any special challenges as a Digital Marketing Manager here?

One challenge is definitely the variety of clients and projects we work on. Each client has their own requirements and goals, so it's important to be flexible and adaptable. Coordination and working with limited budgets can also be challenging.

Do you feel that working at TOWA has helped you grow and develop?

Definitely! The good balance of challenging and not overwhelming and the support of the team has helped me a lot.

Which highlight at TOWA has stuck in your mind in particular?

There are so many highlights, from afterworks in the office to our big offsite team events such as last year in Munich or this year's in Salzburg.

Working on projects where I was able to take on responsibility was also very enriching and a highlight for me personally.

Now a question for anyone thinking of becoming part of TOWA. What advice would you give them?

In my opinion, flexibility and team spirit are the most important qualities to be successful at TOWA.

You should be prepared to take on new challenges and work as part of a team. At TOWA you are challenged, but definitely also supported and encouraged.
